Join Syracuse University Art Museum director Vanja Malloy in a workshop that examines the museum as a resource for primary research across humanistic and social science disciplines. Malloy will introduce participants to the collection and how to search the collection. She will discuss how the collection can be applicable to each participant’s field of study, in relation to coursework as well as thesis/dissertation projects. The Syracuse University Art Museum houses 45,000 artworks that capture moments in history from antiquity to present, providing countless opportunities to discuss everything from the materiality of pigments in ancient art to the Black Lives Matter movement in contemporary artwork.
