It is said that we adore chaos because we love to produce order. Perhaps nowhere is chaos more rampant than in the endless reservoir of human experience documented ad nauseam across social media. Between Twitter streams of consciousness and the sub-cultures of Reddit, the wealth of data that exists online can be simply overwhelming. Enter social analytics. Enter you. This workshop will equip you with fundamental strategies to wade into the depths of unstructured social media data and emerge with information, knowledge and even wisdom. We will focus on broadly applicable principles of unstructured data analysis and provide a hands-on learning experience to put these principles to use.
This event is brought to you as part of the Newhouse School‘s W2O Center for Social Commerce‘s Social Commerce Days.
