The Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs (FYTP) is preparing to welcome our new students during Syracuse Welcome!
FYTP is looking for undergraduate students to be a part of the Goon Squad! The Goon Squad helps with greeting, way-finding and helping new students move into their residence halls.
Goon Squad perks for undergraduate students include:
- A FREE Goon Squad volunteer shirt and fanny pack.
- The chance to move in early on Monday, August 23 (if living on-campus).
- 3 hours of community service per shift.
- An opportunity to recruit new students for your registered student organization (RSO) during Syracuse Welcome!
- If an RSO has four or more students that sign up to be Goon Squad members, they will get to table at the OrangeBlast! Involvement fair on the night of Friday, August 27, 2021. Also, their organization will be featured on the back of the Goon Squad T-shirt that all volunteers wear throughout move-in! The four members must register by June 1, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. (ET).
