The session’s objective is to learn about the city’s work around policing and how the smart cities initiative affects its policing efforts. Guests will learn how the Syracuse Police Department works, how recent social justice protests have affected its operations, and how technology impacts their work. Additionally, we will discuss how technology and data can be used by police in a way that results in positive relations with the communities they serve.
