The oral doctoral examination of Maria Carson, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, May 20, at 2 p.m. in Zoom.
Carson’s advisor is Professor Zachary Braiterman. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors M. Gail Hamner, Coran Klaver, Shira Schwartz and James W. Watts. Professor Margaret S. Thompson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “The Emotional Heschel.”
