The Boren Awards offers up to $20,000 for undergrads and up to $25,000 for graduate students to fund language-based study abroad programs that focus on languages critical to U.S. national security. In exchange for these funds, students then serve for at least a year after graduation with the federal government. Previous applicants have won awards to study in Brazil, Taiwan, Morocco, Jordan, Tajikistan, and more!
SU does have an internal deadline for these awards. If you are interested in applying, you must complete your application materials by Monday, January 10th.
