The Biology Seminar Series will host a talk by  Dr. Davoud Mozhdehi from the SU Department of Chemistry.

Dr. Mozhdehi’s seminar is titled, Genetically Encoded Lipidation to Manipulate the Assembly, and Phase Behavior of Proteins.

His talk will take place in LSC 106 (Lundgren Room) and also be streamed via Zoom for those who cannot attend in-person. Please email Nichole Miller (nlklossn@syr.edu) for a Zoom link.

About the Speaker: Davoud Mozhdehi (Dave Moz) is an assistant professor in the department of chemistry at Syracuse University. He obtained his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in 2015 and completed his postdoctoral training at the department of Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. In 2018, he started his independent career at Syracuse University. The research in Moz lab (supported by NSF and NIH) is focused on designing bioinspired materials and is divided into two themes: 1) Leveraging post-translational modifications for the design of smart bioinspired materials and 2) the design of active and adaptable synthetic materials.
