You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Yiran Yang, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Tuesday, October 19,  at 12:30 p.m. in room 1-218 located in the Center for Science & Technology.

Yang’s advisor is Professor Carlos Castaneda. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Rachel Steinhardt, John Franck, Davoud Mozhdehi and James Hougland. Professor Eleanor Maine will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “The Phase Behavior of UBQLN Proteins and Implications for Protein Quality Control.”
