Disability history is often overlooked and not taught in high school or college. Disabled people have always played a role in U.S. history, from the Puritan Era to now. Join Kate Corbett Pollack, Disability Cultural Center Coordinator, to learn about the history of asylums, institutions, eugenics, 19th century social reform and 20th century disability rights movements. Understanding the past is key to inclusion of disabled people today.
