In Conversation with Don McPherson ’87 | Coming Back Together

All are welcome at this medal ceremony, discussion and book signing (books provided to attendees) with football star and change-maker, Don McPherson ’87, the 2021 Tolley Award Winner. Don McPherson has visited more than 350 college campuses, community organizations and national sports and violence prevention organizations to conduct workshops and lectures for more than 1 million people. As he says, “a community of caring encompasses and meets the needs of diversity, equity and inclusion, men’s violence against women and anti-racism work.”
Conversation will also include:
- Jeffrey Mangram ’88, G’89, G’06, associate professor, Provost Faculty Fellow and Don’s former Syracuse Football teammate
- Cerri Banks ’00, G’04, G’06, vice president of student success at Syracuse University
The William Pearson Tolley Medal for Distinguished Leadership in Lifelong Learning was established in 1966 to recognize outstanding contributions by national and international leaders in what was then known as adult education.
