You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Alexandria Hanson, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Wednesday, September 15, at 2 p.m. in Zoom.

Hanson’s advisors are Professors Aja Martinez and Genevieve Garcia de Mueller. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Eileen Schell, Brice Nordquist and Kate Vieira. Professor Sarah Woolf-King will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Not Appropriate for Children: A Look at Composition Practices and Rhetorical Strategies of Single Moms in Academia.”
