The first part of the workshop will help you understand the fundamentals of conflict management theory, including how various conflict styles affect the way you and others deal with conflict. You will also learn about Reflective Listening, a powerful de-escalation technique that can help people deal with high emotions associated with interpersonal conflict in order to allow room to address the conflict more effectively. Add these two tools to your conflict management toolbox in this interactive, participatory workshop format. The second part of the workshop will train interested volunteers who attended the morning session to become CMC Associates, and prepare them for leading training sessions throughout the academic year. We will cover everything you need to know in order to be a successful trainer using our CMC developed curriculum.
