Please join us in this small ceremony to give our best greetings and thanks as we send out a collective greeting and pray for our community, families and loved ones.
The Full Moon Ceremony provides us an opportunity to pause and thank Grandmother Moon for continuing her duties; she controls the ocean tides, controls the cycles of life and watches over the nighttime skies! We will sing a woman’s song in honor of Grandmother Moon.
If you have a small hand drum or some rattles, bring them with you! A small selection of hand drums will be available for use if you don’t have one. Feel free to bring a blanket to sit on, and if the weather is raining or too cold, we will convene in Hendricks Chapel.
Led by the Barnes Center at The Arch Honwadinyenawa”sek (One who helps them) Diane Schenandoah with special guest Jimbo Talbot from DrumQuest who works in collaboration with the Barnes Center Outdoor Education Program to provide community drumming opportunities to students.
Yaw^ko and we hope to see you there!
