The Chemistry Behind CBD

Luke Powers, Research Operations Manager Beak & Skiff Hemp House will give a talk about the science behind CBD. As operations manager, Luke is involved in product development, he oversees all quality control and compliance, chemical processing, blending, and bottling of CBD distillate. Luke is in charge of starting the operation 1.5 years ago and it now processes 1000 pounds of hemp a day. He will talk about building the processing facility, scaling the processing, and the learning that was required along the way. Prior to that, he ran the Beak & Skiff Hard Cider (1911 Brand) production facility, scaling that operation from a two car garage into one of the largest hard cider production facilities in the US.
