Artist Robert Shetterly, creator of the “Americans Who Tell The Truth” project, will visit campus for a film screening of “Truth Tellers” and discussion of his work.
“Americans Who Tell The Truth” is a collection of portraits of Americans who, by their own efforts, have made the country a more just and compassionate place to live. With his artistic rendering of these champions of the truth, he has given expression to their thoughts, captured the intensity of their gaze, provided a vehicle for their honorable placement within living history and delivered critical factual information. His work has become even more important in today’s world, when the pursuit of truth is essential in bringing us back to the ideals of our country. The work premiered at the Schine Student Center.
The event features a screening of “Truth Tellers,” a documentary on Shetterly’s work that includes footage captured on campus.
