We are concluding our series on Intellectual Property and Innovation with a conversation with industry innovators and the IP attorneys who support them. These experts work in innovation companies that thrive on developing new ideas and, crucially, turning them into products in the marketplace. We will discuss how they approach IP in their work and what the process of innovation looks like day-to-day. Our experts will also discuss how their scientific training has prepared them for work in industry or as patent attorneys. We will have lots of time for questions and meeting the panelists, so this also represents an excellent networking opportunity.

Our Panelist Include:

  • Lorenzo D’Amico (CEO and Lead Engineer at Triton Bio)
  • Blaine Bettinger (Intellectual Property Law attorney with a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology, Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC)
  • Albert Di Rienzo (One Health Group-President, Cofounder & Chief Innovation Officer)
  • Brian J. Gerling (Executive Director of College of Law’s Innovation Law Center)
  • David Nocilly (Intellectual Property Law attorney, Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC)
  • David Quinn (Chief Scientist at Hill-Rom / Welch Allyn)

After the presentation, there will be ample time for answering your questions about what intellectual property and innovation apply to your activities at Syracuse University. We look forward to seeing you at 2 p.m. on April 6 for this highly informative discussion.
