Mastering LinkedIn

In this workshop with “Humanities Beyond the Academy” working group mini-resident Chris Cornthwaite, we’ll do a deep dive on LinkedIn (bring your profile!). We’ll learn how you can find roles, position yourself, and meet cool people in all sorts of fields. By the end of the workshop, you’ll know how to use job postings to improve your profile, how to get on the radar of potential employers you care about, and how to use the platform to open up opportunities.

Chris Cornthwaite completed a Ph.D. in religious studies, then went on to lead projects for a think tank and help build refugee programs with the federal government. Along the way, he launched Roostervane, a site dedicated to teaching lost grads to build amazing careers with their degrees. He founded a consulting company in 2020 and currently consults on SEO and content strategy with tech clients.
