Danny Robinson is chief creative officer at The Martin Agency and was recently named Campaign US magazine’s Agency Head of the Year. A Hampton Institute graduate with an Atlanta University MBA, Robinson uses his business acumen and creative savvy to spark success for Martin’s client roster of brands, including CarMax, DoorDash, GEICO, UPS, Mondelez, and Unilever.

Robinson started his career at Martin in 2004 as a creative director and moved up the ranks before being promoted to the agency’s first-ever chief client officer in 2018. Three years later, he ascended to his current role. Before Martin, he co-founded Vigilante, an ad agency focused on leveraging pop culture for brands, where he was one of the architects behind the legendary Pontiac G6 giveaway on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Robinson has scooped up plenty of awards—Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, among others—and served on juries for several shows.

An accomplished fine artist, pop culture aficionado, Name that Tune champ (including being one of the biggest Prince fan on the planet), former DJ and part-time standup comic, Robinson was also once voted by the Stand Up New York Comedy Club as “one of the funniest men in advertising.”
