Join SOURCE for an insightful panel discussion featuring alumni that participated in undergraduate research during their time at Syracuse. Learn how undergraduate research gave them additional skills and experiences that shaped their post graduation path.
Our panel members include:
Bea Fry, Falk ‘ 20 – Food Studies & International Relations
- Development and Strategic Partnerships Steward, Advocates for Urban Agriculture
- Conducted research on human right to food violations for transgender youth of color with Prof. Anni Bellows
Jacob Hearl, Newhouse ’21 – Television, Radio, Film
- Junior Compositor, Alkemy X
- Worked as a Research Assistant with Prof. Shaina Holmes on visual effects projects
Myles Morgan, A&S ’20 – Biology
- 1st year medical student, Emory University School of Medicine
- Conducted research looking at how loss of system xc- influences the seizure threshold of mice when injected with the chemoconvulsant PTZ in Prof. Sandra Hewett’s lab
Caroline Weidner, A&S ’20 – Earth Sciences
- Ph.D. student, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Michigan State University
- Conducted hydrologic research on streamflow behavior in Northeastern U.S. headwater streams with Prof. Christa Kelleher
