Dissertation Defense: Yisi Sang

The oral doctoral examination of Yisi Sang, candidate for the Ph.D. degree  will be held on Friday, August 26,  at 3:30 p.m. in Zoom.

Sang’s advisor is Professor Jeffrey Stanton. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Bei Yu, Daniel Acuña, Mo Yu, Yiqi Li, and Violet Peng. Professor Dennis Kinsey will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Algorithmic Benchmarking and Modeling of Character Understanding in Narrative Stories.”
