Dissertation Defense: Varun Srivastava

You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Varun Srivastava, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Wednesday, February 2, at 10 a.m. in room 202/204  in the Physics Building.

Srivastava’s advisor is Professor Stefan Ballmer. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Peter R Saulson, Jenne Driggers, Duncan Brown and Eric Coughlin. Professor Christopher A Scholz will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Detector Improvements and Optimization to Advance Gravitational-Wave Astronomy.”
