The oral doctoral examination of Matthew Greer, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at 12 p.m. in Zoom.

Greer’s advisor is Professor Theresa Singleton. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Douglas Armstrong, Shannon Novak, Guido Pezzarossi and Matthew Reeves. Professor Robert Wilson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Assembling Enslaved Lives: Labor, Consumption, and Landscapes in the Northern Shenandoah Valley.”
