The oral doctoral examination of Sarah Platt, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, July 28, at 12 p.m. in Zoom.

Platt’s advisor is Professor Theresa Singleton. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Christopher DeCorse, Shannon Novak, Douglas Armstrong and Martha Zierden. Professor Susan Branson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Entangled Lives in a Southern Metropolis: An Archaeology of Legacies at 87 Church Street, Charleston, South Carolina (1734-1771).”
