Dissertation Defense: Gemma Cooper-Novack

The oral doctoral examination of Gemma Cooper-Novack, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, June 22, at 1 p.m. in 220 Huntington Hall, the Ganders Lounge.

Cooper-Novack’s advisor is Professor Marcelle Haddix. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Kelly Chandler-Olcott, Elizabeth Dutro, Beth Ferri and Kal Alston. Professor Brice Nordquist will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “A Sense of Safe Connection: An Affective Narrative Exploration with Queer Teenage Writers in an Out-of-School Time Program.”
