Dissertation Defense: Stephanie Jones

The oral doctoral examination of Stephanie Jones, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Monday, June 27, at 1  p.m. in Zoom.

Jones’s advisor is Professor Gwendolyn D Pough. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Eileen E Schell, Collin Brooke, Jacqueline Royster and Samantha Blackmon. Professor Marcelle Haddix will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Afrofuturist Feminism as Theory & Praxis: Rhetorical Root Working in the Black Speculative Arts Movement.”
