Dissertation Defense: Steven Ortiz

The oral doctoral examination of Steven Oritz, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, March 4,  at 2 p.m. in Zoom.

Oritz’s advisor is Professor Joseph Chaiken. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Arindam Chakraborty, Jon A Zubieta, John M Franck and Robert P Doyle. Professor James H Henderson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Monitoring Bacteria Cultures Using Near Infrared (NIR) Binary Spectronephelometry (BSN), Raman Spectra and Principal Component Analysis (PCA).”
