The Office of Research is pleased to host a faculty panel discussion with four current NSF CAREER Awardees.
The Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program is the National Science Foundation’s most prestigious award in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of the mission of their institutions.
Panel Participants:
Bing Dong, Associate Professor, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
Davoud Mozhdehi, Assistant Professor, Chemistry
Sucheta Soundarajan, Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Moderator:
Ian Hosein, Associate Professor, Biomedical and Chemical Engineering
Attendees can look forward to hearing from each of the panel participants on their paths to success, as well as, the answers to questions such as:
• How far in advance should I begin writing my proposal?
• What mentoring support did you receive while preparing your proposal?
• How important was it to discuss your proposal concepts with NSF Program Managers in advance?
An overview of the NSF CAREER program will also be presented. Bring your questions, as this will be an interactive session.
