The oral doctoral examination of Alain Rutayisire Shema, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m. in Zoom.
Shema’s advisors are Professor Martha Garcia-Murillo and Daniel Acuña. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Kira Kristal Reed, Radhika Garg, Jeffrey Saltz and Joshua Blumenstock. Professor Renée de Nevers will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Essays on Strategies for Increasing Repayment Rates of Digital Microloans”.
