This event focuses on the current approaches to the study of how Spanish language plays a role in different identities in diverse populations in the United States.
The event consists of two parts:
1) An asynchronous conference by 4 renowned experts about their respective sub-fields. Videos are available at https://sites.google.com/g.syr.edu/spanishlanguageandidentity/video-talks from March 28th.
2) A hybrid round table event (April 1, 2-4pm) with all experts participating via Zoom where questions from the public will be addressed. Register at bit.ly/3DbzDiM or join us in person at Falk 175.
