The oral doctoral examination of Nilamber Mate, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Thursday, March 31, at 1 p.m. in Zoom.

Mate’s advisor is Professor John D. Chisholm. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Rachel C. Steinhardt, Yan-Yeung Luk, Michael Sponsler and Nancy Totah. Professor John W. Tillotson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Trichloroacetimidates as Outstanding Electrophiles for C-N, C-O and C-C Bond Formation, and Synthetic Studies of Protein Phosphatase-5 (PP5) Small Molecule Inhibitors.”
