Michelle Thompson (Resistant Vision)

As the spring semester winds down, it’s time to reconnect with our passion as writers. COVID-19 continues to fundamentally reorganize our lives and impact research: many of us are burned out, professionally and personally, and feel scattered, overwhelmed, or disconnected from our writing.

This workshop provides some structured time to: reflect on and recenter your purpose; align your writing practices and larger goals; and prioritize writing needs without resorting to binge-bust writing cycles that only further deplete your resources. In addition to addressing sustainable writing habits, writing prompts will help participants turn to their summer research in a purpose-driven, realistic way that recognizes what is doable in the present.

Thompson also presents “Tools for Tackling Imposter Syndrome” on April 29.

Please complete this optional pre-workshop survey. All information will be kept confidential.

This is Part II of a two-part series. Part I is scheduled for Friday, April 29, 2022, from 9 am – 12 pm. More information about Part I may be found here.
