Dissertation Defense: Michael Branch

The oral doctoral examination of Michael Branch, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. in 303 Maxwell Hall.

Branch’s advisor is Professor Gretchen Purser. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Jackie Orr, Becky Schewe, Marsha Weissman and Alex Vitale. Professor Jane Read will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Dividing the Blue Line: The Cultural Work of Rural Policing in Upstate New York.”
