Dissertation Defense: Evan Hixon

The oral doctoral examination of Evan Hixon, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Zoom.

Hixon’s advisor is Professor Stephanie Shirilan. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Dympna Callaghan, Crystal Bartolovich, Patricia Roylance and Elizabeth Rivlin. Professor Brian Brege will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Hell’s Black Intelligencers: Representing Clandestine Labor on the Early Modern Stage.”
