The hooding of master’s candidates prior to Commencement is a special tradition at the College of Visual and Performing Arts and symbolizes the culmination of graduate studies and the degree recipient’s transition from student to colleague. Members of the Class of 2022 receiving master’s degrees will be individually recognized and hooded by faculty from their disciplines.
