Dissertation Defense: Madeleine Hamlin

The oral doctoral examination of Madeleine Hamlin, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 12 p.m. in 155 Eggers Hall.

Hamlin’s advisors are Professors Don Mitchell and Jamie Winders. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Gretchen Purser, Jonnell Robinson and Ananya Roy. Professor Todd Dickey will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Policing the Project: Crime, Carcerality, and Chicago Public Housing.”
