“Hosting Kinship” by graduate students and artists Fatemeh Kazemi and Rumpelstiltskin Morgan is a two-part gathering series porously enveloping the bundled archive of multimedia correspondence between two friends. This collaborative work was conceived while traveling to, and time in, San Pedro, California, and Los Angeles while attending the School of Art’s Turner Semester Residency Program.

“Hosting Kinship: Receiving Kinship” is a two-hour performative gathering that will be an interactive edible installation that navigates the verb of receiving and sharing  20 editions of handmade bundles, our “mat/map,” a video archive, and sound work.

This exhibition and the Turner Semester are brought together by the support and generosity of Marylyn Turner ’56, G’57 and Chuck Klaus G’05. The second installment of the series, “Hosting Kinship: Resting With Kinship By Ocean” will be held Nov. 24.
