Syracuse Veterans’ Writing Group Annual Veterans Day Reading

Please join the Syracuse Veterans‘ Writing Group (SVWG) for an in-person reading of members’ creative nonfiction and poetry on Wednesday, November 9, from 6:00-7:30 pm, at the Community Library of Dewitt and Jamesville. The event features a diverse, intergenerational line-up of readers, representing a wide range of military service experiences, stories, perspectives, and writing styles. The reading is free and open to the public. Masking is strongly encouraged. Refreshments will be served.

The library is conveniently located just off of Rte. 481 (Jamesville exit). Ample parking is available in the lot adjacent to the library, and the building is fully accessible with automatic doors, an elevator, and accessible bathrooms.

The Syracuse Veterans‘ Writing Group is open to all veterans and their supporters. We focus on writing creative nonfiction accounts or “true stories” of life in and out of the military. Veterans of all ages, branches of the military, and conflicts are welcome. No prior writing experience is required. For more information, visit the SVWG website.
