Dissertation Defense: Shaidu Shaban

The oral doctoral examination of Shaidu Shaban, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, November 18,  at 2 p.m. in the Heroy Geology Laboratory, Room 102.

Shaban’s advisor is Professor Christopher A Scholz. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Michael McGlue, Robert Moucha, Jeffrey Karson and Christopher Junium. Professor Christopher R DeCorse will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Cenozoic Extension of the Lake Tanganyika Rift, East Africa: Structures, Tectonostratigraphy and Paleoenvironmental Reconstruction.”
