Syracuse Veterans Creative Arts Exhibition

Nationwide, Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities use the creative arts as one form of rehabilitative treatment to help veterans recover from and cope with physical and emotional disabilities. Now in its 27^th year, the Syracuse VA Creative Arts Competition collects works of art, music, creative writing, drama and dance by Veterans enrolled at VA healthcare facilities. This exhibit showcases art made by local veterans for the competition and is a collaboration between the National Veterans Resource Center Art Gallery and the Syracuse VA.

Attend our closing event on Monday, December 5, from noon-1 p.m. We will announce the first, second, and third place winners of the People’s Choice award, and curatorial assistant Olive McKnight will provide closing comments about the exhibition. Participating veteran artists can pick up their artwork at the conclusion of the event.

Gallery hours are Monday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Tuesday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m; and Thursday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
