On Saturday, October 8th, 2022, the Physics Department will be hosting the fall meeting of the Physics Alliance of Central New York. The meeting will take place at Syracuse University, in the Physics Building, room 202/204 from 9am to noon. The meeting is intended for Physics teachers from the Central New York Region.
Anne Huntress, physics and chemistry teacher at South Lewis High School, will give an account of her experience as a summer research intern at Syracuse University and how it has given her new ideas on lab instruction. Professor Allen Miller (pictured above) will give a short talk titled: “Should a beginning course in physics include discussion of the unsolved problems in physics?”
We are grateful for the generosity of the John Ben Snow Foundation for giving the Physics Alliance a grant that enabled us to purchase equipment to be given to the participants.
