The oral doctoral examination of Vincent Portillo, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, October 12, at 12 p.m. in Zoom.
Portillo’s advisors are Professors Brice Nordquist and Steve Parks. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Eileen Schell, Patrick Berry and Tom Fox. Professor Mario Rios Perez will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Assembly Line Americans: Labor, Language, and Literacy at Ford Motors.”
