You are invited to join us for October’s Early Career Research in Neuroscience Seminar on Thursday, October 13, 2022, on Zoom.
Dr. Saumya Jain, PhD, a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biological Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles, will join us to talk about his work utilizing the fly visual system to examine temporal control of neuronal circuit formation. Circuit formation is a highly complex process that heavily depends on proper timing. But, how do neurons determine which genes to express at what time to ensure proper wiring? His work (Jain et al. Nature, 2022) examines these questions and more, aiming to explore cell-extrinsic cues of wiring programs.
