Dealing with lack-luster student participation? Think your questions are falling flat? Student responses and engagement aren’t what you’d hoped for? Questioning is a powerful teaching strategy often overlooked when planning and facilitating a lesson or discussion. Facilitated by Languages, Literatures, & Linguistics graduate student Haley Muth, this workshop will focus on identifying and utilizing various question-response strategies to facilitate classroom participation. Learn to avoid awkward silences, increase student engagement and balance talking time.
