Dissertation Defense: Lachlan Wright

The oral doctoral examination of Lachlan Wright, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, September 21, at 2:30 p.m. in 102 Heroy.

Wright’s advisor is Professor Christopher Scholz. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Paul Fitzgerald, Robert Moucha, Jeffrey Karson, James Muirhead, and Donna Shillington. Professor Jason Wiles will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Heterogeneous Strain Distribution & the Effects of High Frequency Climate Change on the Evolution of Early-Stage Rift Systems: Case Studies from Lakes Tanganyika and Malawi (Nyasa), East Africa.”
