Newhouse School alumna Timeka Tounsel ’10 discusses her book, “Branding Black Womanhood: Media Citizenship from Black Power to Black Girl Magic,” at this virtual event hosted by the school’s CODE^SHIFT Lab. Tounsel is an assistant professor of Black studies in communication at the University of Washington and was formerly the associate director of recruitment and diversity at Newhouse.
