Dissertation Defense: Laura Markley

The oral doctoral examination of Laura Markley, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Wednesday, April 5,  at 1 p.m. in a Hybrid format, the public presentation will be held in Link 152 and the exam will be held in Link 151A.

Markley’s advisor is Professor Charles Driscoll. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Andria Costello Staniec, Tony Walker, Teng Zeng, and Timothy Hoellein. Professor James Henderson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “A Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Plastic Pollution from Environmental Sampling to Surveying: Quality Assurance, Freshwater Contamination, and Popular Opinions.”
