Curious about sobriety? In recovery from substance use disorder? Looking for others who are making changes to their substance use? Join us twice a month for a peer-led recovery support group!
The Orange Recovery Program and the Barnes Center at The Arch invite Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) undergraduate students to gather for companionship, growth and fun with like-minded students.
Orange Recovery creates a safe space for students at all stages of recovery and those who wish to explore sobriety. Join (and bring a friend!) to share experiences, celebrate triumphs, discuss struggles, collaborate on empowering solutions and enjoy sober events on and off campus.
Events include:
- Whitewater Rafting
- Snow Tubing
- Orange After Dark Events
- Movie Nights
- Trips to Green Lakes State Park
- And More!
Peer-facilitated biweekly discussions center around habits, triggers, self-care, forgiveness, gratitude and other topics related to substance use. Active participation is encouraged, but we welcome you to listen and learn from the experiences of those around you if you prefer.
Meetings are in-person at 308 Barnes Center, or you can join virtually by contacting barnescenter@syr.edu. Come as you are, from wherever you are, and join our growing community of sober and sober-curious peers!
