The oral doctoral examination of Sally Sayles-Hannon, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Monday, April 17, at 12 p.m. via Zoom and in the Ganders Lounge located in 220 Huntington Hall .

Sayles-Hannon’s advisor is Professor Barbara Applebaum. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Alan Foley and Emily Robertson. Professor George Theoharis will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Civility, Epistemic Injustice, and Criticality: Toward a Praxis of Affective Democratic Friction.”
