Ideal for graduate students considering an academic career, this virtual panel discussion will feature four BIPOC faculty members from Syracuse and other universities discussing experiences with their academic job search and with early-career faculty work. Graduate student attendees at all levels can expect to be informed and empowered by the discussion and to become better prepared for success in academia.
The panelists are:
- Dr. Courtney Mauldin, assistant professor of education leadership, Syracuse University
- Dr. Alaji Bah, assistant professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, Upstate Medical University
- Dr. Mayra Vidal, assistant professor of biology, ecology and evolution of species interaction, UMass Boston
- Dr. Clemmie Harris, associate professor of history, Utica University
This event, open to all graduate students, is sponsored by the Graduate School BIPOC Alliance for Excellence, which seeks to create community, networks, and support for BIPOC students.
