“A Path Back to Here” is a group exhibition showcasing a selection of work by School of Art M.F.A. students Jaleel Blanchard, Markus Denil, and Joseph H. Troxler. This exhibition features artworks completed this spring during the Turner Semester residency program in Los Angeles. A closing reception will be held Thursday, May 4, from 5-9 p.m. PT.
“A Path Back to Here” invites you to pause, reflect, and find your way back to a place you may have been before. Through a variety of mediums, these artists explore themes of escapism, self-identification, and social haunting. The artworks are guideposts, illuminating the trail on which we travel. As moments reverberate, our relation to the world we inhabit changes. We’ve been here before, but maybe we’re different now.
